Obama4UnityBeatsMcCain has reached out across the city to build the most diverse slate of candidates fielded for the DC Democratic Party since the advent of Home Rule.  Our Unity Slate combines the enthusiasm of young activists and the seasoned experience of long time advocates of DC Voting Rights, Civil Rights and other Democratic causes.  Among the 48 members committed to remake the leadership of the DC Democratic Party are DNC Superdelegates and Obama pledged delegates elected by DC voters to represent them at the Democratic Party convention; a former chair of the DC Human Rights Commission and current Board Member of the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights; the first female clergy member elected President of the Council of Greater Washington Churches; the current Outreach Director for DC Vote; 2 Public Housing Advocates; 2 Chairs of DC for Obama (one leaving his post to take a position with the Obama campaign); several current Obama Campaign staffers; the current President of the DC Latino Political Action Committee; 2 members of the Asian Pacific Islander PAC; several current and former Advisory Neighborhood Commissioners; 4 former Chairs of their Democratic Ward Organizations; several youth advocates and teachers; a DNC Youth Council member; several founding members of DC for Democracy; a member of the DNC LBGT Caucus;  a former chair of the DC Democratic Party; and a long time DC Labor Leader.
